info

This is the fifth stadium designed by Dico & Țigănaș office. One of the principles used for developing the concept was the dissipated distribution along the perimeter of the functions, accesses, and circulations of the new stadium. In the plan, we took the triangular form and the hypotenuse direction from the COSR building. The same isosceles triangle becomes the corner element of the volume for the main stands, a necessary element to counterweight the Cașin church. A characteristic we sought was the use of large shapes and clear lines, This is exactly the opposite of the initial intention to divide the stadium in order for it to shrink in scale. The ensemble appears as a single building made up of multiple parts: the rugby pitch with the stepped grandstands, the main western building destined for athletes, officials, press, and media technicians; the hotel; the underground parking and the building destined to celebrate Romanian rugby. Essay marked and transformed.
