The starting point of this project with many contributors is Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation that provides funding and Microsoft technology, including computers necessary to lead in Romanian villages knowledge through books and the internet. From here RoGBC Romanian Green Building Council started with its members to make a green project with their contribution. It is a transformation of a traditional building from the Polish miner’s village Cacica, near Suceava, a popular Catholic pilgrimage site. The former kindergarten building, in the vicinity of the school, has been fully reconsidered, eliminating the prohibited materials in a green project and adding low tech solutions for both closures, insulations, air tempering, water management, etc. the project evolves slowly due to the special mode of financing through contributions, but the steps taken are firm and there will not be much time until the finalization. Our contribution is an architectural one.
