At the end of the year 2010, we took part in a contest for the Central University Library with two projects. This solution is built on the stratification of floors around a public hall orienting itself towards the inner function. The response to the closed-aligned static context was a volume that enrolls the permitted prism in a contrasting circular way. The indoor spatial orientation is based on chromatic whereas the staircase combines the major dimension of the atrium with the very low storage floors thus compensated. Taking advantage of the opportunity a public plaza develops. The building was seen as an articulation between the university and medical area from which both could benefit organizing the whole medical court system assembly around this centered volume.
